The travel industry has long been a woman-centric industry, with women comprising 54% of its workforce globally, according to data from the World Travel & Tourism Council.
Women also typically make around 80-85% of all travel decisions.
While gender inequality still exists in the industry’s executive branches, other portions of the travel industry are predominantly female-focused, such as travel advising, which is primarily made up of women who appreciate its flexibility and at-home career style.
This Women’s History Month, it’s important to celebrate the women who have participated in this industry and paved the way for generations to come.
